| Licence / certificate | Where |
|---|---|
| UAE driving licence in the right vehicle class (exchange of foreign licence available for eligible countries) | UAE - Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, which accepted licences from 57 countries for direct exchange in 2025 after an eye test |
| Saudi driving licence (foreign licence conversion possible for approved countries) | Saudi Arabia - General Directorate of Traffic, applied for through Absher with a medical test |
Residents need a UAE licence. In Dubai, holders of licences from countries on the RTA list can exchange them after an eye test without a full driving test. The RTA reported 57 eligible countries in January 2026. Others need to train and pass the test locally.
Put nationality, visa or Iqama status, notice period, languages and your licence type at the top. List your driving jobs with vehicle types, routes and your safety record. Mention if you already hold a Saudi licence or one that can be converted.
A clear professional photo is common and many employers expect it. Use a recent headshot with a plain background.
